Welcome to the new edition of online International Journal of Intelligent Games and Simulation (IJIGS). In this edition, a wide range of papers that covers the most recent advancements in Computer Games Development are presented as well as Games applications, emerging platforms and technologies. The editorial board encourages all authors working in any discipline related to Games Development and Games applications to submit original and quality papers to IJIGS Journal. All manuscripts will be peer reviewed by subject experts and authors will be requested to fully address all recommendations made by the reviewers prior to journal publication.

IJIGS was founded in 2001. It is the first international journal of its kind that has raised awareness of the need for more sophisticated intelligence in computer games suited for the next generation of computer games, and interactive digital media applications. The journal continues to maintain constructive links with its sponsors: the IEEE Computer Society, British Computer Society, Digital Games Research Association (DiGRA), and the Society for Modelling and Simulation (SCS) Europe. The journal is also supported by CGAMES international Conference www.cgames.org , and authors receiving the best paper award are invited to publish their papers in future issues.

IJIGS is now recognised by many more Game developers, universities and institutes worldwide as a valuable resource for research and development in the next generation computer games. Furthermore, our registration process has revealed that members of games companies also find it a valuable source of inspiration. We are very pleased by this response and delighted that IJGIS is achieving its mission in promoting research, development, and applications of computer games. The Journal aims to support new researchers seeking to gain knowledge from the experts in the field in order to improve the quality of their work in this exciting subject area.

The Editors greatly appreciate the contribution of the authors and trust that you will continue to support IJIGS. Our special thanks go to the reviewers who have been most diligent in their task by providing detailed and useful feedback to authors to maintain a high standard of the published material.
